Solar has always been thought of as the solution to all the clean energy problems.  It has never taken off because of the cost. Square One Solar has developed a patent pending technology that does not use Silicon based panels or CIG based panels, instead a nano polymer technology.

Quantum technology produces a piece of plastic that generates electricity. We are presently working on bringing the cost down 60% to finally make solar energy mainstream. Once this technology is developed, solar will be a lot more attractive as a solution to the planet's energy solutions.

Square One Solar Corp. is poised to take advantage of the recent interest in the solar cell manufacturing industry. The Company has developed revolutionary technology that will produce efficient and inexpensive Photovoltaic (“PV”) solar cells using the semiconducting material known as quantum dots.

Quantum dots are safe for the environment, tunable and cost effective, giving the Company the advantage of stability in supply given the worldwide shortage of solar-grade silicon.

The Company is now looking to file additional patents; complete the first prototype; and, fine tune the manufacturing process for mass commercialization. The Company is continuing research and development efforts on intellectual property that leverages the Company’s expertise across additional market verticals.

Furthermore, through developing innovative and patented technology, the Company will gradually transform itself into a technology-oriented solar systems provider with industry leading capabilities to provide end-to-end solutions worldwide.

The Company’s business model revolves around the use of quantum dots and other nanostructures. Quantum dots are nanostructures of semiconducting materials that can be as small as 2 to 10 nanometers. At these small sizes, materials behave differently, giving quantum dots unprecedented tunability and creating opportunities in both scientific and technical applications. The Company is targeting the growing solar energy market as its first market vertical. Thereafter, the Company has identified opportunities in biometrics, taggant devices, thin film displays, and tracking devices where the use of nanostructures can vastly improve upon existing processes.

Square One Solar has developed unique technology to precisely formulate quantum dots of dissimilar sizes that allow the harvesting of a larger portion of the available solar spectrum than conventional solar cell technologies.
